From what seems like an eternity, I got a set of new 19 inch Porsche rims from one of our members. Since I wanted a set to put my winter tires on, I had to wait. Well a very scant snow fall came upon us (probably 1/8 of an inch) and that was good enough for me.

Disabled the TPMS' and slapped those suckers on... they really complement the "Alaska" gray of the Treg...

Those look sweet Siberian.

Man if I say so myself, they do look awesome. I'm wondering if I should mount those in summer and keep the OEMs for winter... but that would mean moving the TPMS... but I really do like them and the price was right 2!. Thanx guys

Hey Northvan did you get my post on the Porsche VAG-COM? A second set, why? By 50 below air nearly turns to a liquid and pressure drops until the tires warm up. Nah, not spending that kind of cash for something that won't read right anyway. Also hardly gonna get a flat from gravel covered in snow :)

Mountain_Smith, if you guys steal all the snow again this year, someone is truly going to get p*ssed... How can we run our dogs on 1/8 inch of snow???????

Yes, I saw the durametric post. I have played with it in the past, but don't own it.

I guess there are no good reasons to get a second set then. Could you post some more pictures of you car with these wheels, I would like to see the colour compared to the vehicle.

Damn that looks good...did you get them painted to match or did they show up that way?

OK Northvan, just making sure you saw the post re. Durametric. I'll try and post some more pics (will probably need to delete some pics as I'm over the limit again).

Nick, they are two tone. The rim/edge are aluminum the rest is as close as you could get to Alaska Gray powder coated.

I got them from Sam Cotton and to the best of my knowledge they came that way from the factory and were not repainted. For those with Alaska Gray as a vehicle color, these Cayenne rims are IMHO the nicest I've seen. Much prefer them over the OEM rims.

The advantage of posting pictures is that it's worth a thousand words. Thanx to an observant member it was discovered that the FRONT tires were mounted with the wrong rotation. They did look odd when I put them on but got sidetracked with other things. Thank you Noobie!!

I now get to wait in line for hours to undo what they should have done in the first place; put them on correctly. Ya just can't get good help these days...
