Having migrated sites before I can say that there are a lot of details to get switched - DNS, server parameters, PHP issues, etc. I'm sure things will stabilize after a week or so.

I appologize for the sites reliability over the last 24 hours. Without going into all the details we kind of moved it last minute to get it onto a new server and are working to fix all the bugs right now.

Mike and Andy, thanks for your hard work I'm really happy you guys have this site up and running. To the mods..thanks in advance I'm sure you'll have a few rough days ahead of you getting it all up to date etc. Its thankless and payless work and for doing this work you guys are gods in my books.

To the original post, I think the message is tongue in cheek...guys if we can't laugh at our own community then who can we laugh at. I actually thought it was very funny and fitting that something we love was letting us down (much like '04s did to so many of us).

In fact I was trying to be humorous. Apparently some bigots take all of this personally as opposed to commentary on my experiences. Anything I say will be interpreted as an attack...a shame really...

And the reason why I am here...if you must know I now have a third Treg...07.... that seems to be running nicely... which is why I continue to rip the 04.... After I traded the 04 in for the land cruiser I wanted a sportier suv for times when i felt like a road machine....and the cruiser with more room for the whole gang

There you have it...but I continue to be amazed at guys like Mr. Spock whatever that need to take personal shots...like the troll comment...I think Freud had a theory about guys like him....

After all the ripping you've done of VW, Touaregs, your dealer and everyone else whom is happy with their treg, you seriously went out and bought another one. Just like VW rolling out a comprehensive software/hardware updates that it is giving to all remaining 2004 owners FOR FREE and resulting in great running machines..... there now appears to be new software/hardware that will make this site run like a million bucks.
