This will not not any awards, but my tdi touareg v6 hit 159k in va
Failed tranny at only 68,000??? Yikes!!! Definitely makes me reconsider getting a used Tuareg...2006 v8
I have 137,xxx miles on my 2006 v8 with air suspension, winter package, navigation etc.., has had tranny replaced at 68,000miles, tpms replaced, brakes and rotors done and still going strong... I did the big 100,000 maintenance a little early
Hi, what milage interval did you use for timing belt replacement? It doesn't look like I will be winning any awards, but my Egg just rolled over to 218,000 miles. 2004, V8, with air suspension.
Never had any air suspension problems! knock on woodgrain
She needs catalytic converters and O2 sensors (feeling way down on power) ... and it's second timing belt service is due.
We bought it in 2013 with 72k miles, that works out at 31,500 miles per year. An estimated total of $27,720 in JUST PETROL during our ownership (calculated at an average of 15MPG, and average fuel price of $3.30 per gallon).
Hi, did you ever replace the timing belt?Mine just rolled 200k miles! 2005 V8 Air Susp. Only problems I’ve had are with the trans mainly. And had to get the alternator rebuilt once. Also the oem headlights suck and had to get rebuilt. I’ve owned this for quite a while and I’m going to start looking for another Touareg.
My 2006 V6 Treg has 238k miles. It has an electrical problem (I believe Relay 15) but have not found anyone in the Boise ID area I would trust to hunt it down. The car got wet under the driver's seat and lived in a rainey sectio of the NW until recently. My 2014 TDI is at 115k miles, and I bought it frankly to tide me over until I could find an appropriate EV (Rivian has my attention so far).miles or kms?
I feel for you, I got a 2008 V8 with only 100k miles and water got in from sunroof drain on drivers side rear and flooded it out all the way up to driver (parked on slope). Took 2k USD at an Indy shop to ge it running again (dash lit up like Christmas tree and couldn’t get out of park). They cleaned the drains and I thought the problem was resolved after they got it running again…fast forward another week and it filled with water worse then ever before. I dried it out and dropped the headliner to find and fix the leak…actually doing all four sunroof drains at same time because it is a crappy design…and now I have no dash blower and the fuses all appear working so another grounding issue someplace… grrrrMy 2006 V6 Treg has 238k miles. Yikes. I understand, it is going to be an expensive problem as I haven't time to chase it myself. Sounds like the same symptoms - the MFD had everything lit and the shifter stuck. I am not at all certain where the water came from. The car is now located in a desert environment (rather than a rainforest where the problem arose) so maybe after the wiring is fixed it won't again be a big problem, but probably should also look at the moonroof drains or whatever might have ended up under the driver seat. When this is done I am pulling my 2007 (with 125k miles) into the garage and doing this same repair to it. Water is such I PITA in a vehicle.
If you know for a concrete fact that the leak is fixed that is great. Hidden stuff like leaks I do myself because I go above and beyond what I feel a Indy or dealer would do…like doing my other three drains at same time. I am in there I might as well.
Also, I fat fingered the year of that Treg, it is a 2008 V6. Drive too much, but what a great car. My best snow and ice driver ever.Yikes. I never heard of the Grenadier so I thought I'd pop over to their website and see what it looks like and my first impression was "hey that's the old Land Rover Defender", or a slightly updated facsimile of it. Isn't it? Anyone else think so?I've reserved a Grenadier.
6 cylinder BMW engine, gas or diesel.
