Well I have had a Sump guard put on. Design by Drag and I'm ever so pleased with both the look and fit. Quality well thought out bit of kit IMO.

I can vouch for the Guard beats the plastic OME one. One thing my RRS has is a proper metal sump guard , many other things it does not have.

Just like to give a big thank you to Dragline (Mark) for supplying and fitting his bash plate on my 2012 Treg.

It is a quality bit of workmanship and really looks good. A great addition to the Treg.

Regards, Martin.

Hi Gerald,
Just saw your post here. The gentleman you are after is actually dragline1570. Click on the blue link in the previous sentence and you will be transported to his profile page. You will see up towards the top left, an option to send him a message. Unfortunately, this forum requires you to have made a number of posts (5ish I think?) before you are permitted to post a PM (Personal Message). So post away to get the numbers up then send him a PM. :smile2:

BEST BASH PLATE ON THE MARKET !!!
At long last I have finally got my Sh!7 together and had this wicked locally designed and manufactured sump guard / bash plate fitted today. Check out those figure hugging curves! Fits like a glove. Not to mention a very aesthetically pleasing sight to behold.
Anyone with a 'Treg who wishes to protect the underside of it from destruction should get in touch with Dragline ASAP and get their Sh!7 sorted with an excellently designed, well made sump guard / bash plate.
Now looking forward to "rougher" tracks with more peace of mind secure in the knowledge that the important and vulnerable elements of my Treg's underbelly are covered.
Cheers Mark.

Hello SpaceSaver, Like what you have done to your Treg looks good and must give you a lot more confidence when you hit the road with the rough stuff.
One Question does the installation of the bash plate effect the temperature of the underbody of the vehicle during the summer .
I have just place a deposit on a 2012 MY13 V6 TDI 4XMotion and I have a list of mods that I would like to do and the Bash plate is one of them.

Hope you don't mind if I try to answer Kenny ?
These plates I don't believe will change any temperature or trap any extra temps around the engine or transmission as compared to the std plastic plates.
They have the same air scoop to provide airflow over the front diff and in most other ways just mirror the shape of the std plastic plates.
If a owner was concerned about extra airflow for heat dissipation I have done a template with a organised series of 15-20mm holes over the plate to allow a lot more air flow and to allow sand and slushy mud to run off and not build up on top.

Hope that helps.

regards
Drag

Paddy the Photo is my OLD R50 and I can say that the plate is a nice improvement in function and looks. Drag is very knowledgeable on all things V10 and even better for you a short drive up the road.

without trying to hijack this thread can I share my weekend endeavor of fitting extra under-body protection. when i fitted the side steps I had to remove the OEM plastic guards between the sills and chassis, not wanting to leave the delicate plumbing exposed I got some ali guards made up. bit of a pain to fit-up but they should prevent damage from loose stones and such. not really planning on doing any rock sliding.

If you go to the trouble of reading post 18 of this tread you will see who makes these and how and where to get in touch with him.

PS. you will need a couple more posts before you can PM which shouldn't be too hard to do.

Pity the Sandgropers have issues with Geography. I never knew Maitland was a suburb of Melbourne. :)
