Yes there is a self study on the T-reg. If I remember correctly the controlunit is located in the roof? But it was a while I read this so I might be wrong too. I will check my other computer where I have the selfstudy for the T-reg.

As of late, my heater is not working at all. Somehow the valve is not opening to allow the heater to heat the coolant. The heater turns on and runs, the blower is on and blowing air into the cabin but no hot air just cool air.

After going without my AUX heater all last winter I did a couple of things this Summer to try and get it going. My circulation pump was not turning on so I assumed it had failed and got a used replacement and installed it. I tested the original one I took out and it works just fine  Still no AUX heat.

Then I got looking at the wiring diagram (you need a PhD to read one) and figured out that fuse #4 (5 AMP) controls the pump. Sure enough it was blown. As soon as I replaced it I had a working pump!

Manually turning on the Aux heater worked just fine but the timer didn't :(:mad:

I checked and rechecked all the timer settings, date, time, heat/cool selection and it was all correct. Frustrated again!

The following week my thermostat failed so I replaced that last Thursday by following the DIY http://www.clubtouareg.com/forums/f43/v10-thermostat-replacement-diy-120345.html. If you own a 2004 beware of the steel coolant line that runs down the center of the thermostat housing. It added 5 hours to my repair time. 2006 got a rubber line there and you can change it in 2 hours.

Today (Tuesday 8AM or so) at a long stop light I looked up and noticed the DAY said Wednesday. When I got to a parking spot I rechecked the date set in the timer and it was set correctly as November 18, 2014! My car thinks 11/18/2014 is a Wednesday. Well, OK, then. I changed the date to 11/17/2014 and now it thinks it is Tuesday.

I set the timer to go off Tuesday at 4:45PM for 40 minutes. I get out to my car tonight and it is purring away and toasty warm inside! Yay, problem solved.

I'm curious if anyone else has a timer that is off on the calendar? Leap Year or what. Any ideas?

Nancy

Yes, I realized the date problem with mine last year and searched for a while but never found out anything. My guess is you are right about the leap year, the calender was probably only estimated out about ten years. I did the same thing to fix mine since you only ever see the date when programming it but program off of the weekly days.

Still no success on that remote? I picked one up last winter but because of the accident haven't installed it. Still trying to gather up all the parts to get it going again.

Nope. I have not gotten the remote to work.

When I was installing my unit I couldn't get it to work unless I power it up with the cars battery
I think that's the only way you're going to get it to work as it will always need some sort of power to receive the signal from the remote. Without constant power it will not be monitoring for that signal.

Installed the T91 remote in our 04 V10 today - works great, except I can't get it to switch between vent and heat mode... not a huge deal since heating is more important.

FWIW here's what VCDS has to say about the Webasto:

Address 18: Aux. Heat Labels: 7L6-819-008.lbl
Part No: 7L6 819 008 B
Component: Standheizung E1MAC 0235
Coding: 0000030
Shop #: WSC 31414 000 00000
VCID: B57CA8EEDFD7E1890CD-5140

I had to change the soft coding from 30 to 20 for the remote to work. Despite not having a timer display there are no fault codes.

Thanks,

-Jason

Yes sir! You guys with the early T1's got the 819 (euro) circuit board, the "parkheizung" which VWOA nixed in NA. Nancy of DicknNancy may want to check with you as hers works only from the timer console.
Somewhere in the early pages of this thread is the reason we cannot vent here in NA. IIRC we qre missing a flap or something.

Voltage has taken fuse Place 19 (20 in use and 30 is allway empty).

At telestart module connector + pin has 11,5V when engine is off.
Also connector - (black wire) is in car ground.
So there should be operating voltage for telestart unit.

Also checked that PIN 1 is all way down inside webasto connector.

When start the car webasto starts running normaly like before telestart install.

But the remote fob reply flashing 2 sec when push ON or OFF button
(that should mean that there are none back respond from telestart unit).

Anyone ideas why its not working or what i could try next ..??

Solved

I keep continue self-writings..

Now its working.

It need to unplug the telestart unit.
(Pairing: Telestart connector pull out and put back and then pushing key fob OFF button.

Pairing instructions says take out webasto 1A fuse, cant find that fuse and that
make the confusion.
