Just spent 9 hours putting in the OEM backup camera kit from OEMplus / Kufatec. Its works well but there were a couple things not in the instructions that wasted a few hours that I thought I'd pass on.
If you have the factory tow package then the instructions say you can tap into the CAN bus in the rear at the red connector. This is much more convenient than by the drivers knees. The instructions didn't say that you can also get continuous 12V power for the camera controller from the red wire with yellow stripe on the same connector. Also the CAN and +12V power wires come long enough to get to the dash but do not cut them if you are going to the red connector cause if you do the only way you can tell CAN high and low is by trial and error.
Couple other things to note. The light in the glove box has a very short and tight lead, drop the box the absolute minimum before disconnecting. I spent two hours rebuilding the glove box light assembly torn apart by the tight wire. Removing the casings on the FAKRA connector will help you feed it through the rubber hatch tubes. Finally you'll break less plastic clip tabs if its warmer.
