VW has eight shareholders Porsche with 25.1 percent owns the most of any individual shareholder. Let's say the other seven shareholders each have an equal stake in VW at 10.7 percent. In order to override porsche three of the seven remaining shareholders have to combine their voting block in order to have more then 25.1 percent voting shares...

 

I heard from my good Porsche source (top guy) that Porsche owns 40% of VW now and they are largest stock holder.

 

I also read that Porsche averages $33,000 profit on each car. Yes I said profit...Next closest was BMW at $3,200 average per car. They have their next competitor beat by 30 grand per unit. WOW what a brilliant business model. And you wonder how they can afford to buy VW shares up.

The Bentley/Lambo/Bugatti purchases were during the Piech reign...this also brought things like the Touareg and Phaeton (along with VWs general move upmarket). Piech cleary had a taste for things expensive and nice.

 

now Peich is gone and VW is bombarding us with ugly faclifted models.
