I was starting to think it might be the valve chest, but I'm not completely sure.

Just today, I would drive normally, starts off in 1st, gets about to 10/15 mph then it just loses power.

It's not just in 1st, it's all gears. Driving 70 in 6th and just normally on the gas, I could floor it and about 2 seconds later it finally gets power.

Passed a stop sign later on, car dies halfway through. No warning lights or anything.

I can't drive the car like this, if I pull out and someone is going 60 and comes up on my and my car dies, I'm f*cked.

If its the transmission, I'm surely done for. Any ideas?

Does the engine seem to be running properly?

So at no stage does the engine die it keeps reving?
But you lose drive?

I have the same thing on my treg but it's just in 1st and 2nd gear.
When accelerating and the gearbox switches to next gear, the car suddenly drops power for a second, then revs again and finally switches to next gear so gear changes takes more than 3 seconds with lots of judder...
I learned to live with it, but my car never died yet.
I did a diff replacement with lower gear ratios and it wasn't an improvement, it just get worse instead. Did a transmission fluid change 2 weeks ago, no difference.
I'm think to do an update of my transmission ECU.
Someday i'll make a video from it.

 

I did the transmission reset via gas pedal and it went away.

I just had the problem again.

This time, it only happened 3 times and now I get a clunk in the center of the car. (Driveshaft)?

It seems like if I drive the car for long periods this happens. Any clue?
