They can all be chipped up! Do your homework on chipping and value for money for the chips. Panther tuning has a chip for all V6 TDI variants.

Also worth considering the run-out of the current model, if you can find one! Just paid for our 2010 V6 FSI demonstrator with sat nav, auto tail gate and 2.5 years factory warranty; $63K drive away. Picking her up this week and can't wait!

 

Sounds reasonable to me......not many "old" Tregs left to choose from. You'll be happy with it.

Just put a deposit on the V6Tdi yesterday. Engine aside, the extra $15000 gets more and bigger comforts inside, better leather, but also the air suspension, and some of the other options are not available on the 150Tdi. Now just have to wait 6 months to get to drive it.

 

Congratulations on your purchase. What colour did you choose and did you get a good deal?
I've been looking in Brisbane and also like the V6 TDI, they are really keen to do deals up here, looks like they want to move the cars. I've been quoted $5000 off RRP so far. I will probably put a deposit down next week.
Very nice to drive, love the NAV system and colour info screen on the dash. I desperately want the LED lights and Panoramic Roof on mine.
Not sure what colour to pick though.

 

Well if you are looking for a 150 TDI then the you are in a good position, VW Australia had planned on this being the volume seller however someone forgot to tell the buying public so everyone is ordering the 176TDI/180TDI. Just about all stocks until the end of the year are now allocated.
So good stock levels available on 150TDIs if you want the real value Touareg currently on offer.

 

did seem to be a pretty good price, so put a deposit on it straight away. very to nice to drive and fits 3 kids seats across the back. VW have a corporate discount that saves heaps.

 

not the 4xmotion, but does include onroad costs.

 

Just ordered my Treg

4XMotion MY12 White with air suspension, area view and sports interior - $87,900 drive away after dealer discount (includes $2,500 corporate discount). Delivery anticipated Jan/Feb ... no rush, but looking forward to it.

I still cannot work out the difference between the 150 and 176? Is it just a de-tune or are there different parts?

 

VAG produce the 3.0 V6 24v TDI CR ranging from 150 Kw to 195kW, including fitment in the Phaeton and also a marinised version. Not too unlike the Ford Falcon XR6 in-line 6 pot and then augmenting the crap out of it and dropping the same donk into the F6 Typhoon. Same-same, but different.

 

Just about to pick up my Treg from Albany W.Australia, lucky they had a white one sitting there or wait 5 months for silver

 

Yep, hard to find in the West also.5 month wait from dealerships. Managed to find a new 2012 white 150 TDI in Albany, and grabbed it.

 

I also wanted silver but ended up with a white T2, the colour just grew on me and now think it's the best colour for the Treg, looks classy when clean, looks clean when dirty, cool in the Aussie sun, what more do you want.....love it!

Hi, Is the TDI 150 price $70,903 the same for Victoria state? How much more discount would there be if get it through a fleet company?

 

I have the 150Tdi and itcannot be tuned- chipped to teh same output as the 176. It is the same motor but VW have put differnet turbochargers on the two models
I paid $60K for mine with the Sunroof
