My headlight lens covers are pitting. I had the same issue on my a6 that had the headlamp washer system. Does anyone know if this is covered under the bumper to bumper factory warranty?

Do you think the washer spray is doing this to them? Is that why you mentioned the A6 with the washer system?
I would think pitting would be from road debris kicked up from vehicles in front of you. Do you follow closely behind the car in front of you on the highway? Do they use a lot of sand and small stones on the highway in your area?

This is why I had my headlights clear bra'd --- so the plastic doesn't get all beaten to hell. --- especially here in Colorado where the front end of a vehicle takes a beating.
3M has new product for buffing out the pits and scratches. It works great, really cuts the haze.
The only reason I think its the washer system is the pitting/crazing is identical to my a6. My wife has an 05 passat and her lenses are in absolutely perfect shape (only diff is no headlight washers on her car). I have to take mine in for the transfer case this week, I will ask about the headlight lenses. My dealer has thus far delivered superb service for all the warranty issues.
