Since a few months the display says AFS NO FUNCTION VEH. WALLET!. My dealer organization is not familiar to this message and cannot find what is wrong. The said they have checked all modules and connectors but the message comes frequently, sometimes every day. Also a loud beep can be heard. and the light indicator is flashing in the odometer.
A few months ago I drove to Italy (I live in the Netherlands). During this yourney I have heard the beep about a thousand times (ten hours drive) also in the night the complete interior lights fell out (blinking) except for the odometer.
I also found out that, after the first beep, my cruise control wasn't functioning anymore (untill I started the car again).
Does anyone also have had this problem and what solved it. In my opinion AFS has something to do with adaptive front moving lights, but I don't understand VEH. WALLET!

Maybe vehicle wallet means "see manual?" :confused2:

AFS is indeed the adaptive front lighting system.

What is your voltmeter reading, both when this happens and at regular engine idle? I wonder if a low voltage condition could be causing some of this. It's kind of a stretch, but just maybe...

Good luck,
Matt

Ok I will check my Voltmeter when it happens again. I don't know if wallet means "see manual" I have read the manual from the beginning to the end but no indication of this message.
BTW could wallet maybe means "trunk", I suppose the software was made by not an american or englishman so maybe the word means someting different?
(im my opinion in a wallet you can put money, or does it mean also something else?).

Better late than never! LOL!!

i've had the vehicle wallet thing come up:
- when the wire going to the high beam shutter actuator was disconnected(bad solder)
- when the right xenon was moving around on bumps, eventually the dealer changed it and that fixed it.
- when the right headlight was not sitting properly/locked.

Each of these were fixed.
