Have a completely stock 2014 T3 R-Line. Found some Godspeed coilovers for it. Has anyone on this site had experience with Godspeed products? Thought about going with the H&R cup kit but with its 1.2"-1.4" or 40mm lowering potential its just not enough IMO. I currently have a 5.5" fender gap with the stock 275/45R20 tires on it. I do not want slammed but a 1.5"-2" gap would be preferable as long as the camber isn't stupid. Any knowledgeable input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Like the ceika or bc racing? He didn't know they existed, but he made the right choice. Only thing better he could have done was some KW v3 for 3x more
yes and no. I know some coilover were available, but I wasn't entirely sure it would fit the purpose of the vehicle. I mean, I appreciate more it's comfort than it sporty attitude. I also wanted something that was well known as robust. The Ceika kit looks pretty good, and I really appreciate some of the features (dual springs, build to specs, ...)
Like mentioned above, I wasn't sure what product were available... and if they were robust. It all started with my ignorance of the R-line specs; I was shopping a drop (H & R) + Bilstein B6 and the specs were what I was looking for (not knowing the R-line VS H&R were about the same height). I placed the order and THEN discovered the B12 kit. So I urged to cancel my order, refused packages and all. This was a mistake as it would have been about the same as this B12 kit; for about the same money.
Rear top plate are BO everywhere. Placed an order yesterday, they told me 2-4 weeks. I'll measure the spring rate of the B12 kit and report back until then. I'll test the stock R-line springs after the new kit is installed.

So I got my alignment done today. Even at the height I'm at they were able to get my camber back within spec. I've since put about 3000kms on them and no sign of it settling more. I'll post a picture showing the rear camber. I think it looks stock now. But now I'm looking for different wheels or spacers, 10mm, 15mm max. I hesitate though as Touaregs are notorious for steering wobble. Don't want that. Quickest way to feel like you're driving a beater.
On a side note I took a shot this evening with the sun going down. We have forest fires raging so lots of smoke in the air. Makes for strange colors.

It looks very very nice indeed. If I were to do it all over again, I would definitely go that way. How is the comfort?
I emailed H&R trying to get some specs for spring rates or difference between the model for Cayenne & Touareg, they do not share the information. Apparently they are progressive springs and there is not one general way to measure. Maybe I am over-simplifying things, but it sounds like it should be as simple as force VS spring compression. I emailed Eibach to get an idea of the spring rate, no luck there either.
Anyway, I'll measure the Eibach springs force VS displacement on Friday.
Installation is schedule to be Tuesday August 17th, I should have received my rear top plate by then!
As for cost wise, The B12 kit was 1750$, add another 345$ for the rear top plate. I am not installing them myself, got a quote for 6.5h @105$/h since I am bringing my own parts + 100$ for the alignment. Ride height shouldn't be significantly different, but I doubt it has been aligned since it left the factory so it is worthwhile considering tire price in 20in.
As for wheel offset, I am running 20in Cayenne wheels (ET60 I think) with 10/15mm spacers Front/Rear

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Volkswagen Porsche keep their spring rates under tight lock and key on these rides. @jeffnhiscars did some manual checks on his old vs new setup, it's a matter of comparing coil distance, coil diameter etc. He has exact spring rate information

The ride is quite good. Certainly no worse than factory. Small imperfections are almost non existent. Larger ones react about the same as factory. Medium dips give a single compression then back to level. Large dips at highway speeds are a bit fun. The rebound can give you a good bounce in the rear currently so I will need to stiffen the dampening. But I am running fairly stiff rates in the rear. The most noticeable change is the body control. Squat, dive and roll are greatly reduced. Its no GTI but its also 2 times the weight. My missus has not complained once about the ride and honestly if shes not complaining then its good. She hasn't noticed that dynamically its better, shes just good at knowing when she doesn't like something. No towing on the new setup yet so I cannot comment on that currently.
Edit: There is a smidge more road vibration coming through the chassis and thats from the solid top mounts of the front and rear coils. The factory has large rubber gaskets to remove this. Once again my wife has not said anything about it so its below her perceptible annoying range. I can tell, she hasn't mentioned it. Hopefully this helps too.

I'll have to check my current ET as they poke more than my stockers. Got them with a winter set off a Q7 owner. Just a set of cheap RAC R02's. At least they are rated at 900kg+.It looks very very nice indeed. If I were to do it all over again, I would definitely go that way. How is the comfort?

So I see lbs/in. My springs are 16kg front and 12kg rear.![Image]()
I found that 16kg/mm=896lbs/in and 12kg/mm=672lbs/in how does that compare to the chart above?

Stock touareg springs are around 450lbs and cayenne GTS are around 500lbs if I recall correctly

The r-line springs are upgraded from stock so could they be the same as the gts springs?
keep in mind this is the Eibach Cayenne springs, not the stock R-line as they are still on my ride! Wondering if I can sell my old stuff BTW. The shocks themselves must not worth a lot considering they are 7 years old (but appears to be in good condition).
I added metric and converted imperial to lb-po (instead of feet). But to be honest, I just realized that theses measurements are a bit pointless as I didn't compressed them enough. The weight of the Touareg is UNDER the max compression I did (1000 lbs per shocks!). I feared the spring would get out of place and hit me in the face as the top and bottom surface are not flat! I compressed 5in, I would need another 2-3 inches to get something in the dynamic range.
The spring is progressive and I was still in the softer zone of the coil. The parts closest to each-other are the primary (and rubber coated so they expect coil to coil contact) and then you get in the stiffer stuff.

My ideal would have been 3/4 to 1in lower, but I am still pleased with the look considering the vehicle size and purpose. I would call it OEM+ fitment (except for the black wheels)
Less diving under cornering yet still very comfortable. My ride being a 2014, just a shock refresh (even OEM) would have make a difference. Combined with the lower springs and I think the Bilstein B6 are superior than OEM... I am very pleased with the result.
