Hi yrktreg

I am also interested in this fix for my '14 r-line tdi
can you please pm me with your email address with the cost.
I am in Vancouver BC.
Cheers
PM on the way sir!

Back in town, deposit refunds processed, TCM's ready to go out to the next group.

I do have a 750AK ready to go for someone with a 2013, and also a 750G for the 11-12's...

Has anyone tried a TCM from Europe? I have one that I bought from Europe and thought it would be plug and play with some mirror mods but have found it to be non compatible at this point straight out of the box.

Same part number as my original. 0C8 927 750 G

Is there an adaptation that I need to do??

I tried the trans reset but no good. The trans is in limp mode and stuck in 3rd and no shifting in "D" or sport mode.
When I replace original everything is fine but it doesn't like the EURO spec TCM, For the recorded I don't like it either! lol

I mentioned it in my PM, but just read this post; were there any faults in VAG-COM in the auto trans module? I would try resetting any DTCs that come up and try again.

Hello, I have a 2015 Executive that will be receiving the fix in 2 wks. If there is an available transmission flash for this MY, please shoot me a PM so we can get something coordinated.

Thank you,
-Nate
Yes sir, I will add you to the waiting list. Your name should be close to the 2 week mark when you get yours fixed...

Yep no communication but it came back. I cleared everything but "MIL" came back on and still in limp mode like TCM was absent!

Software version of new TCM is S1812. Might be a too old revision.
Sounds like a bad module..?

The connector is definitely seated in clipped back in place?

3 Units out, installed, and have received very good feedback!

2 of the 3 want to remain anonymous though, so hopefully the 3rd will chime in here tonight :D

I also have some spare ECU units on order for loaners as well just in case people want to have their ECU's ahem fixed :D

The ECU's are a total PITA to remove though.
ECU swap would be a little different though due to the immobilizer, more info over PM's to those who are interested...

Are you offering to retune the ECU back to the pre-fix state? I'm guessing it's for those who prefer to stay with stock power.

Malone stage 1 / 2 tunes are probably another option to change the ECU to "pre-fix" state, except with added power...

Just drove the ca4r 60 or so miles.. Main observation... VW made the shift pattern Sh.T. You don't notice how bad it is until you go back to original programing.

1. The transmission seeks to shift up as soon as possible. Im doing 35-40 and in sixth gear, with the fix iI'd be in 3rd at 3500 rpm.
2. Transmission shifts around 1500-1800 on cold start.
3. Transmission downshifts aggressively so helping with braking.
4. Transmission upshifts much harder.
4. Trans will not upshift on mild throttle inputs, (which made it real obvious that (guess here), the car is down on torque by 50-100 ftlbs, and probably HP 20-40?

Overall I hated my Treg with the fix transmission shift pattern. I know that opinions vary and as a car dude, I'm pretty picky.

Next get the car back to original or better engine tune...

Can't quite tell if you're describing transmission behaviour after the fix, or when going back to pre-fix state.

Hey this thread started working again!

To answer your question yes it is next on my hit list.

Of course should you want more power/ economy I recommend a Malone tune of course.

TCM Flash Review (2013 TDI Exec):

- Received my flashed TCM from yrktreg two weeks ago. Easy communication, payment and fast shipping.
- Cold starts are no longer dreaded, transmission idles around 850 rpm at start. No longer holds gears entirely too long until up to temp, upshifts at the proper time.
- Low end torque is back.
- Sport mode is a beast again.
- Engine braking is back to original levels.

Did the transmission software reset as well, relearning can't hurt.

Overall experience has be brilliant. I've got my original vehicle back and it's a pleasure to drive again with all the original characteristics I drove off the lot with.

Get the flash, zero hesitations.
