Hi Singh,

Yes ... looking forward to fitting it this weekend!

Did you notice the ClubT sticker? Thanks for arranging them!

Cheers, Mike.

Hello Mike,

Are you joining the crew at Trilby in two weeks?

Stuart..

Hi Stuart,

Thinking about going but not sure at the moment ... will be a late decision if I do!

Cheers, Mike

Was too focused on the plate but i do now! Good job, looks great!

Belly plate fitted, Sunday evening. Comprehensive instructions from Mark and only two 8mm holes needed to be drilled in the centre cradle cross member ... attached are pictures of my Plastic guard (front smashed after meeting with a Mulga Bush on the Anne Beadell trip!), the well thought out and made parts kit that came with the new belly plate, and the plate in situ.

Shame I can't make the Trilby Muster, as I now want to go find some rocks to bash!

Cheers, Mike.

:censored:Well for those who I haven't had the pleasure of meeting I don't normally do any off-road driving but seeing it is the holiday season I went with a friend down to the beach yesterday to give the V10 a run. Now I went with a friend as I do not have a lot of experience with beach driving and the thought of getting stuck makes me uncomfortable. I must say that the V10 seem to do anything I threw at it with ease. Tyres at 16psi, ESP off , still in high range. Not that I was too ambitious but still enjoyed myself.
Now the 1 issue I had was on the dunes coming down and keeping momentum to go straight up the other side my front bottoms out and I smashed the plastic underside protection. You know I never did fit a plate to mine as I didn't do any off-road driving . Well it seems like I will now have to talk to that guy that I know who makes the plates for Touareg's I say to my wife and she laughed and called me a :censored: .

Oh well you live and learn and get laughed at by your wife.

LOL...the bootmaker's kids are the worst shod kids in town.

Ironic.

Haha- good on you Mark! By the scratches on mine I can testify that (that guys) plates do work well. Hope you and the family are enjoying the hols. When are you back?
Cheers,
Mick.

If you have any trouble getting in touch with him, I was talking to him this morning and would be willing to introduce you to him. ??

Do you make these for the R5 Touareg? Looking at buying one, steel springs but very low kms and good price, worried about clearance though, these plates look like a great solution! Not going to be doing anything too hardcore, beach work, Moreton/ Fraser islands, occasional bush camping with 4x4 access only. Would prefer a V6 but the low milage and price on this R5 is too good to ignore...
