I know there is a lot of variations w/ TDI and not and all,
just checking V6,8,10 in general. See which one is making the Gas companies richer!

V6 = TDI and so on, a V6 is a V6
V8 = V8, I dont think options modify the cylinders?

2.5-liter R5 TDI
3.0-liter V6 TDI (225hp or 240hp)
3.2-liter V6 (220hp or 240hp)
3.6-liter FSI V6 (280hp)
4.2-liter V8 (310hp)
4.2-liter FSI V8 (350hp)
5.0-liter V10 TDI
6.0-liter W12

Correct, the # in the engine type (R5, W12, V6) are the number of cylinders.

FYI: The R5 is basically one bank of cylinders of a V10. No timing belts or chains, or accessory drive belts. Everything is gear driven. Very cool, until a water pump or something goes wrong.
