Hey guys, I'm an automotive locksmith in Los Angeles. If you need keys programmed to your kessey or would like to know the pin code, you can sent the modules to me. For pricing call or text 818-488-0977.

How do you read the prom? I recently purchased 2 Phaetons one is wrecked (05 parts car) and the other I wish to get on the road is an 04. I believe the Kessy is bad on the 04 my next move it to remove and inspect it. I have over 30 years experience in repair , restorations, electrical, and diagnosis but these cars, and the Kessy is new to me. The info is very confusing. Can you program with obd eleven or do you need vag com? What would happen if I remove all the matching Kessy parts as a set, from my 05 parts car and put them in the 04?

Some reading

Would like to know something about the keys.
If I replace the kessy with a used kessy do I need new keys or can I use the old keys of the car (not the keys with the replacement kessy).
It will need to be coded via ODIS, which your dealer will have. Your immobilizer will lock you out of starting the vehicle.

Is it not possible vcds even with the login pin?
I know this next part is a little off topic from the original thread but please bare with me. I've bought my treg used and the previous owners have done some budget way of replacing the kessy(I don't know the full history) but I got the car really cheap. I have the message on the instrument cluster stating immobilizer active but car starts perfectly fine everytime and keyless entry works perfectly fine. Getting the error code in engine ecu 001299 incorrect immobilizer key and another error in access/start auth- 02241 ECM immobilizer data not adapted.
When I check the advanced id section of vcds the engine ecm shows the VIN of the car but kessy module shows the VIN of another car(most probably the car it was taken from)
How can I go about getting this issue fixed? I have ODIS and vcds and I'm willing to pay for your time if you can connect online to rectify this issue. I also have the login pin. Worth mentioning that I have another kessy module ready with me as well from the junkyard with the same part number. Current kessy in car 3D0909137F and second kessy 3D0909137D. Thank you in advance.

I wish I could help you, I have no experience with ODIS but I do know it is required to code the immobilizer, VCDS will not do it. But if you say the previous owner made some modifications to the immobilizer system, then I am not sure what they did and how that may affect your vehicle. You can always try swapping the kessy module and see what happens. It's not difficult. If it doesn't work, just switch back.

If you can send me your old Kessy (and it's readable aka not complete toast) I can swap everything over to the used module to make it plug and play when I return it to you
Hello. I'm not sure if you've read my previous reply but I would just like to be clear. So the current kessy in my car is working perfectly fine except for one issue, car starts everytime plus all doors lock and unlock without any issues. The issue is that I get a message on the cluster stating immobilizer active with key symbol. I think the previous owners had to replace either the engine ecu or the kessy. I don't have the full detailed history. When I read the information in the engine ecu it displays the correct vin but the kessy shows the VIN of another vehicle and I get the error code in the engine ecu 001299 incorrect immobilizer key and also I get an error in kessy 02241 engine ecu immobilizer data not adapted. Is this something we can fix through an online session? I also have the login pins for both engine ecu and kessy plus I have the login for another used kessy that I have with me.

Unfortunately without doing more searching ( you can try searching for this) I don't know of a procedure for replacing the kessy module on Immo IV. This is what you need to so in order for the Kessy to obtain the correct VIN number from the ECU. I can do this on the bench, but it looks like your aren't in North America.

Yes sir I'm in India unfortunately. Was hoping there might be some way with online ODIS or something that you might've known about.
