Ok Jock you are asking for it.
Here is 101 in financial planning.

I do have 5 houses. However, I choose to live in only one.
The other ones I lease out. (it is the only leasing I do)
They pay for the Touareg and then some.

Having 5 houses is a smart investment.
More is even better (that is why I do not bet my money on a V10...yet).

If you want to know, I do know quite a bit about financial planning and how to gain wealth.
Even buying a Touareg cash is not smart in a way. Use the money to invest and let the benefits pay for the touareg!

I am not going to try to figure out what you try accomplish here but you but my mouse is close to hitting the complaint button

Looks like a bit of button pushing and some chest pounding is happening...

How about we take advantage of the opportunity to share some financial advice when it comes to vehicles?..There's considerable intellectual muscle amongst this boards membership, so if we all learn a bit about finances and how to "make a dollar stretch" I think its to all of our advantages.

nltomba, just because someone doesn't share the same views as you is no excuse to try to force your ideas on them.

Unsolicited advice, even from those with knowledge, is not often warmly received, particularly when presented as a critiicism of the recipient and with a tone of superiority.

The message (however valuable) is lost in the conflict. You will validate your own worth when you validate the dignity of your recipient.

Re-read your initial responses to CA Touareg -- is it possible you could have treated her with greater respect?

Good luck with your rental properties, and of course, feel free to complain.

(By the way, my reference was to hypocritical behavior, not real estate ownership.)

Nltomba did private message me and apologized for being critical. I accepted it and we have moved on.

Thank you for everyone's support though. It is appreciated very much.

In short; it's rather impolite to lecture others about how they spend their money, particularly when you would do the same.

It is even more impolite to think you have to make comments on something that is not even an issue anymore.
If you had taken the time to read the the whole story you would have known this already.
