I have the Nav/Sound System ll audio system in my 04 Touareg. There is an AUX button at the base of the display. When the AUX button is pressed the system shows two input possibilities from external sources: an AV/Audio input (DVD I presume) and a second audio input (MP3 I presume). Does anybody know if there are AV and or Audio input ports that connect to the audio system. They are not obvious to me, the manual doesn't show where they are, and the 4 SF Bay Area dealers I spoke to don't have a clue.

Easy. The inputs are on the back of the deck. You will need an adapter to RCA, which you can get from Spockcat here: http://www.tm-techmark.com/touareg/audio-videoinstall.htm

AV inputs

Hey Guys. Just got an 04 with the NAV/Sound II couple weeks ago. I have been wanting to hook up my iriver. Can I use the link you have mentioned? I see that the notes say it doesn't work for an 05 model, but it does work for an 04? I took my car to and electronic store in the Chicago suburbs called ABT. Enourmously sized store and they do everything imaginable. They told me they there is no way to hook up my iriver to the system. Please advise if your cables work for my model.

If you just want to input sound and the iriver has a headphone jack (which I assume it does) than it will work fine using the cable and AUX input.

The NOTE says that the VIDEO ADAPTERS do not work with 2005 model DVD navigation systems.

If you have a 2004 model CD nav system and want to install an AUDIO ADAPTER, then you have no problems.

Today i had face a problem in sound system ,everything is working well , but there is no sound at all even if you turned the volume key control high.
Also i could not control volume from the steering wheel keys.
what is the main problem ? and how can i fix it ?
is it referring to fuse fault ?

Hello i got the same problem : I got a touareg 04, radio was working fine. My battery die and got a new one since then the radio haven't been working. I got the nav on but no sound is coming out. try cd/ipod nothing no sound is coming out. I purchase a new amp thinking that was the problem still no sound i change all the fuses nothing can someone please help me Please.. i got the factory radio/nav system on. any help please. Desperate guy from New York.
