Cry for help if anyone knows !!!!!!!
2 months ago I bought the Touareg 2.5 TDI R5
From the first morning I had two problems when the car is cold!
First with the throttle in the first few seconds .... I start the car and working on 650rpm depress the accelerator pedal full but nothing happens after 5-6sec. car himself added on one second throttle to 1600rpm then let throttle and back on the 650rpm more 5-6sec .... after about ten-fifteen seconds normally begin to receive throttle .... BUT !!!!
Second problem is more serious, when I throw automatic transmision in D or R and press the accelerator pedal nothing happens, the car will not go, nicely put gear and pulling at idle but will not receive the throttle ... after 3-5 min. car normally begin to receive throttle in D or R and continues to drive without any problem ...
I'm a mechanic and I have my own car service.
On VCDS diagnostic tool but no one module no errors
I replaced the engine electronics and gearbox electronics, MAF and MAP sensor, but still have a problem ...
All injectors on VCDS + - 0,50mgh,every temperatures on engine and gearbox is normal on VCDS....

check on VCDS if throttle percentage corresponds to what you are physically doing.

You need to get it in the state as described above. Then VCDS the throttle position sensor. Does it reflect your throttle and still no response from engine?

I.E.

Push on throttle 50% and VCDS says 50% however your engine is still idle.

Then I would suspect the 'throttle' servo (it's FBW)

If it shows no throttle on VCS, then it's probably the electronic pedal.

I think you need to solve this first before moving on to transmission. (though fixing this may cure other problem)

OR backwards. Your transmission is cutting throttle (traction control) sensors/tires.

:wink2:

@ Xeno:

English is clearly not the OP's first language, but it is mine and if I didn't get "FBW", how will he?

@ Boki: I think he meant "fly by wire" - in other words it's an electronic component.

VCDS show good parameters for acellerator pedal sensor, when I press 10% show 10%on vcds, when I pres on 50% show 50% on vcds,....,.....,....throttle on my touareg is vacum not electrical.
And I try with other acellerator pedal sensor but problem still !

Your throttle is electric and its position is sent to the ECU to tell it how the injectors are to deliver fuel.
That Vacuum butterfly on the intake is just a anti shudder vavle VW call it I think but all it really does is shut the air down to stop the engine.
It doesn't move during normal driving.
Diesels don't have butterfly's as engine revs are controlled by fuel delivery.

All summer I no have problem and car drive just fine.....BUT ....!!!!
Cold days is come and this problem slowly comes again....all time when temperature is above 0c. no problem...but if lower then 0c. problem come.......I am check everything on this engine but I can't find defect.....
I only discovered this when I simulate engine temperature with resistor on -15. or -20c. then everything is GREAT,engine not have problem at all and have much better response on throttle from idle RPM.....and of course......the car go immediately when I push throttle !!!!!!!

Hello... I have same problem like you ... do you have any solution for this ? Or i need to buy 2l gasoline and a lighter ?

I have the same problem with my 2.5 2005 touareg, press on ecelerator and does not want to move for few minutes, after a while it goes and then moves perfectly through all gears. What can the problem be plsssssss
