Great, thanks for the help guys. Both of these have got me thinking, now I wonder if I can fit the T2 Hofele front bumper along with the factory T2 Headlights and Fenders. You know like a combo of both.......

The owner at Tunedub in Calgary has done this conversion to his Touareg.

Sorry, his name has slipped my mind today. He has a black T1 V8 and he's converted the front end to a T2.
The only reason I knew to ask him about it when I saw the vehicle was that he had not changed out the rear tail lights to darker T2 ones.
Hope that leads you in the right direction.

According to someone who worked in a body shop and did this you'll need:

2 wings

Front bumper

Pair of headlights

Bumper guides

2 headlight mounting brackets

Add in a front end re-spray and get a car electrician to wire in the new headlights.

At the end of the day, you'll still have a T1 which may be harder to sell if you want or need to.

If you are really up for this kind of stuff you ought to get VCDS from Ross-Tech so you can read codes and modify, the workshop manual from Bentley Publishing, and ETKA for the parts list.

Yes it should. I've seen the T2 tail lights on T1.
