I am looking for 1 person for each of these years with a tuned 2012, 2013, and 2014 Touareg (Q7, and Cayenne in the works as are later years for all models) for some performance tune testing.

I will ship you a module out for testing, you pay a $500 core charge to cover the cost of the test module.
This will be refunded once the testing is all complete and you send me your original module back.
You get to keep the performance tuned module with all of the revisions and also D mode tuned if wanted.

For testing I will change only the S and Tiptronic shift times, along with some other things like slightly raising RPM shift points in those two modes. This will be based off of my "stock" pre-fix tune that everyone loves with performance enhancements.

You test it for a few weeks and let me know your honest thoughts on it. I can make revisions as needed (will need module sent back) for whatever is desired within reason.

So basically you are getting a free $475 value performance tune for testing, and reviewing the performance tune.

To be selected please make a post below with the following info in this form:
1) Your Touareg year (Q7, and Cayenne in the works as are later years for all models)
2) What stage and mods you have done
3) Location
4) What you would like in a performance tune.

I didn't follow instruction well. Was multitasking in a meeting.

1) 2014 R Line Treg
2) Stock, but have tune, DP, exhaust, I need to put on from old treg that got totaled. It has your OEM flash on it.
3) Louisville, KY
4) Faster shifts, Hold more pressure/tq

I know I'm no longer in the mix here but here's my copied response

1 - Significantly faster if possible. This thing is quite lazy.

2 - yep

3 - more engine braking is good. Save the $2300 brake jobs 😂

4 - from what I gather the cata still pulls a touch
Past redline. I would raise the rpm just a few to test

My biggest thing would be to NOT alter tow mode, as I have zero complaints at all with it

Gotcha big dawg.
I'm 100% stock, so I don't fit criteria.
I also have a '14 and he's already got a lab rat up above, so it would be redundant.
Lastly, in not willing to mod in any way that might eff me out of my dieselgate warranty so I'd be a less than desirable participant.

Truth be told, I don't know if I've even shifted out of D into S or TIP more than a handful of times during ownership.

This is a 5k SUV so I'm not doing 1320 runs or SOLO courses like the rest of you hooligans. There's much better suited vehicles for that kind of shananegins in my opinion. I drive and I tow. Period.

That hurts my heart just a lil bit

1) 2012 Audi Q7 3.0 TDI
2) Malone Stage 2, no deletes, Yrktrg stock pre fix trans tune.
3) British Columbia, Canada
4) Faster shifts. Alter the 3rd gear TC lockup at too low of an RPM. (I never noticed this until another member here mentioned it...now it is annoying.) What else can you do?

Do we know what changes in tow mode? I haven't noticed that much. Sometimes tow in sport mode.
Ya, a ton. Shift RPM are optimized for towing. Braking maps. Trailer brake and anti sway maps. Rear hatch disables auto open. Alarm system activated when trying to remove tow hitch or wiring. 7 blink comfort blink instead of 3 (or maybe that's only my f350 🤔). Lots of stuff. Adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring.

Hmmm exhausts falling off of trucks n sheit 🤔

I can remove the ball mount out of my receiver all day and the alarm will never know...
It's in the wiring. Have to remove the wiring in order to remove the hitch.
