hi guys just checking with people driving with their vehicles in auto.Whilst doing this do you have the cruise on?
with a modern European diesel i cannot for the life of me understand why you don't put it into manual put the cruise on and let the vehicle do its job.
this vehicle has 800 NM/TORQUE. let this amazing engine do what it made for, you will find that it will be so much easier to drive.i would suggest you put it into 7th gear around 2,000rp put the cruise on and when the engine starts to labour hit the paddle back a gear over the hill back to 7th cruise still on and your apples.
worst thing you have to avoid is the cruise taking over up the hill then dropping into another gear and all of a sudden this vehicle has you doing 120 ks on the other side of the hill.

I think leaving in auto and putting cruise on IS letting the car do the work. Surely it knows best when to change gears?

PS Not sure why this comment is in a thread about tyres and suspension settings??

well you could say the same thing about tire pressues.
