SUN ROOF wont open all the way now

I have a 2005 VW Toureg, bought it in November 2014...

I used the sun roof a hundred times..but never tried to open it COMPLETELY... now its freaked......lol

This is what happened, I didn't look before, but apparently the sunroof has 2 clicks to open it......not TILT the back end.

So I saw that there was another " Click or 2 " to open it COMPLETELY....

BIG mistake, now after I closed it, it now only opens about one inch.

I went to a customers body shop and BLEW HIGH Pressure air everywhere.....thinking maybe some little thing was blocking it.

NOT.

So now what?

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

FYI

I tried a hundred times to open it.....

ZERO, ( One inch, stops. )

I regularly extend my sun roof back to the fully retracted position. Never had an issue. My only thought is that something has seized due to lack of use??? or something has become snagged in the runners.

I would suggest removing the hood lining and checking to see what has actually happened.

I don't have a sunroof - I've never liked them!

But . . .

Have you read the manual to see whether you have somehow "set" a limited opening?

I don't know whether you can do this with your car or not, but on my T1 I could open and close all the windows by putting the key in the door lock and turning [can't recall which way for either open or close now!] and holding it there.

My understanding is that the sunroof, if fitted, would also open and close together with the windows in this way.

Might be worth a try...
