Ok. I will check it out. But i doubt i have it since i have seen 30* F on the display and no heater prompt.

Maybe adding the tai girls option is cheaper and a more "productive" option that i wish i could add. But i don't think my wife would approve.

 

When your steering wheel heat is on you will see a green light in your screen instead of the white one. The button is on the right back side of the wheel as noted earlier.

The one on the left side turns off the lights for the buttons on the steering wheel. Nice when you want as little light as possible in the dash area when driving at night.

 

What does the white symbol mean?

 

It means the temperature is low enough for the wheel heat to be activated and on, but you have turned it off. So press the button again and it should go on and go green. I am guessing that if you did not have wheel heat the white 'off' symbol would not show up at all.

 

The winter package is the one thing I do not have

 

agree if you do not heating the white symbol will not be displayed.
i think if outside temp is 10 degrees or less it shows the white symbol

 

Yep. No heat. And i can't turn the lights off. Damn. Thats one badass option.

If it does i can't find it. I have the button to recall the column when you open the door, but nothing on the back of the wheel or anything else on the column. I have a dimmer that just dims all the dash lights.

 

The buttons should be between the spokes of the steering wheel on both the left and right side of the wheel.

Regardless of the temp, turning it on will result in it showing as on in the display. So, you can get a definitive answer without wondering about what temperature it is and what the cutoff is.

If you have the winter package, you should have this. Do you have four zone heating and rear seat heaters??? If yes, you should have it. If no, then you don't.

Can be retro fit if you can find the parts... I just did it.

 

Mine has no 4-zone, but it does have the heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats. I guess different winter package for Canada.

 

I also don't have 4 zone heating. I do have heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel though..

 

Then you throw some of us T2 owners who don't have rear heated seats or four zone since it was not an option, but do have a heated wheel.

 

If i remember correctly, 4 zone heat was separate from the cold weather package which had the heated wheel and rear seats.

This all new to me since i purchased used. What is considered 4-zone heat? I assume its adjustable temp in the rear. Also, is there something listed with a decoded option list somewhere? Or should i have the dealer run my VIN ?
