Does anyone know of a source for the proper tool to remove a compression clamp. Specifically, the clamp on the appx 3 inch breather tube that is clamped to the air filter box (2013 TDI Touareg).

I can use a large plier but would prefer to a proper tool to avoid damage to the camp and hose.

That is a little rich for a hand tool that is little more than a pair of pliers.

Upon a second look at the site - the US $ price $105.00. Still pretty high for a fancy plier.

Just cut the old one off and use a worm drive hose clamp.

If I am understanding you correct try these style.
I use same type all the time and there is no better clamp removing tool.
