It should still be the 11 speaker audio system but I'm not positive.

 

You should have 11 speakers. There is one speaker under the middle of dashboard.

 

Can you add a new Navigation system to a Touareg (2004-2005) that has the standard CD radio? Is the wiring a challenge or can a good stereo installer make it work? Will I need a new amp? What brand do you all recommend?

The 11 speakers are all the same. Just amplifiers are different in different Touareg. Since it is only CD player(non-navi) radio on your vehicle, so it is an analog amplifier.

 

So is it empty under the middle of the dashboard? Usually it is a tweeter there.
