The same long coding is in the driver's seat control unit but I didn't need to change that one.

Hi Vne, I have this problem with my MT21 V8 touareg also. The seat damages long objects transported in the back etc and vis-a-vis. VW service said they fixed it, but didn't. My question is just how do I access this long coding etc to fix this problem. I'm a complete beginner, and would really appreciate some help. This is driving me nuts!

Easiest would be to share which city you are in and a fellow ct member with vcds could help you with it, takes 2mins
Else you could invest in either obd11 or vcds tool and diy

I'm in Epping NSW, Sydney. Would welcome any assistance with this for my MY21 V8 touareg. I don't have obd11 or vcds tools.

Even though the manual says so, the infotainment screen does not have any option to switch the convenient entry/ easy access function on or off for the front passenger seat (but does for the driver seat only). VW service can't seem to fix it either....super annoying when transporting things in the rear.

You'll need obd11 or vcds or someone with either... no other way of doing it. And the manual lies.
As Singh says it's really easy to do... and consider some of the other useful tweaks in the VAG-COM section (there's a pinned thread of verified adjustments - mostly done on my MY21 V8) while you're at it 👍

Have a new CR and want to do the modes listed particularly stop the easy entry on passenger side & want to enable auto handbrake on park etc. I now have the new HEX-V2 interface but can't seem to locate where the long coding option for the passenger easy entry. Also, I found the auto set park brake location but it wants a security code which I don't have?
I did quite a few changes on the old 7P but can't seem to get it happening on the CR!
