Hi All I know there has been a few posts on this but I hate to think these components just die for no reason. My 2014 Touareg 7P with 360 camera had a bad battery which was replaced. Now the screen is completely dead. No life whatsoever. I have checked the 51 fuse which is fine. Replaced it just in case also. I have pulled the screen out to check behind. I have pulled the glove box cd/SD card module out to check that which is also fine, you can hear it working. I have pulled the rear amp out which also looks fine. Is there other fuses I can check or is it just likely one of the compoments is dead which is stopping the link between the 3. I would appreciate any help to try and avoid stupidly expensive dealer costs. Thsnks in advance.

Hello and welcome to the forums.
You could try a 5 button reset to see if it helps.
Short of that I think it would be wise to scan the module with VCDS if you have it.

RNS850 reset.

Assuming there was no issues before the battery was replaced then try a battery disconnect reset which may reboot it. Then if no luck measure voltage at the screen. Then use a fiber optic bypass cable to see which component is stopping it from booting.

Run VCDS again. Check for 12v at the screen & some say there is a fuse there to but not 100% if that is true.

Read this thread post #30 onwards it was fixed by resetting each unit by unplugging it.

A vcds scan now would help point to the issue.
To clarify, is it just the screen not working? Can you still hear the radio or does the phone/bluetooth work?

Ok, i have sorted mine so i thought id post. It was the infotainment unit gone down in the glovebox. HTHese are eye wateringly expensive from the stealer at around 4k plus. i got a second hand unit for much less and it sorted it. Just got to get it coded and component protect sorted now but screen is back and all boots as it should
