I own a Touraeg 2009 model. Recently, I found that both the rear power windows does not roll down completely. Both of them stops with about 1/4th more to roll down. Does any one have any idea on this?

The rear windows cannot fully roll down. They are limited by door shape due to the wheelwell intruding on the space.

Amazing. You must have really loved lots of other stuff to not check out all the windows, sunroof, etc. The partial window roll down is a VW/Audi thing, almost all of their cars all do that. It's inherent in the rear door design and wheel base relationship. Personally, it's one thing annoying to me but I still love the Audi. The bmw wagon we had rolled all the way down, longer wheel base though. My old rovers only 2/3 but my newer rover 100%.

Makes me wonder what else you'll find over the next few months pro/con.

There's a feature where you can open all the windows at once with the key, guess the sales guy didn't show you.

You might not know but the rear window hatch does open, a cool feature.

Ah, NO. BMW wagons roll all the way down as does our UK built LR3. It's slackness in window design. In a side collision the exposed edge is more dangerous to your head. All up or all down is safer overall. Kids should be buckled in and if you are concerned about them hopping out, that's what the window control/lockout feature is for!

Well our last BMW320d combi the windows would not go down but the were not electric,our passat, landrover discovery were electric and would not go down I would really think its a European thing. Stew

I'm calling you out on the Euro thing. Any car without enough room in the rear door design will not have full drop windows. It has nothing to do with being "european" seeing as I just listed multiple cars and makes that ARE euro which do drop down. OUR bmw 328 wagon and lr3 break your theory.

The Subaru Outback 3.0R we had also stopped 3/4 so now is it an Asian thing?
