Very recently replaced my wife's R5 with a Silver 2006 V6 TDI with factory spare wheel carrier.
Now that's sad both husband and wife with silver Touareg's :serious:
Any way front diff needs repair and I just happen to have a front and rear diff's from a wrecked R50.
I am thinking of chasing some extra fuel economy as my wife drives highway miles every week as well as round town.
Both the R5 and the V6 are doing about 2200 at 110 kph which is noticeably more than the V10 at 1800 rpm for the same speed.
So I am thinking of replacing both diffs with the V10 units and then seeing how close I can get the speedo to read using the VCDS and the correction factor coding.
Any thoughts on the swap ?
