I really only drive on the road, not in snow, and very little rain.

I need to replace my tires, and I am looking for a quiet, smmoth ride. I do A LOT of highway driving.

What recommendations do you have?

Roy

PS I done all of the searches but nothing posted really directly answers my question.

Can you give us what size you are running currently & if you want to replace that size or up-size.
Some tires aren't aways available in all these sizes. Also what is your driving style?

Available Touareg OE Sizes:
255/60/17
255/55/18
275/45/19

I'm currently running Pirelli Scorpion STR's 255/55/18 on 9x18's.
I like but the sidewalls are a little loose. Overall not bad for an HR rated tire.

Would like a more street-able tire for aggressive driving.
I want to up-size to 285/45/19 Yokohama ADVAN ST (ZR rated) on 9x19 rims.

I just bought Cooper Zeon XST in that size and so far they are the shiznit. I am amazed at how quite they are at all speeds. I live in Florida and they are great in the rain as well. I had a coworker tell me they looked good too.

I didn't buy them at the link above but I spent so much time looking for a good tire that when I found one at a good price I jumped on it. As soon as I was done with the online order it hit me that I didn't do a search for the tire by brand and model. So I do and search and :censored: I find it for about a $100 cheaper for the set. Won't make that oversight again. :anger:

nitrogen filled tires are known for being more quiet. I can say its pretty much truth.
Mine are filled with about 78% nitrogen. Does that make them 78% less noisy than if they were filled with 100% oxygen? :evil_laugh:

héhe, well, take it as you guys want, but me I really felt a difference when going at high speeds.
