I have the following problem. When the speed is reduced between 3 and 2 speeds, an impact occurs. If I brake more aggressively, the impact is not felt at all.
Diagnostics fails the following fault: N443 - pressure control valve 7, 0002 transmission electronics, 12859 P074200 Inverter bypass coupling does not disconnect (00001000 passive / sporadic).
It is a 2012 V6 3.0 TDI model. The oil was changed but the problem remained.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

The bores in the valve chest in the six speed Aisin gearbox fitted to the Generation 1 Touaregs were prone to wear at 60-90,000 miles.

The wear caused the valves to stick giving a delayed gear change from 5th to 4th at about 38 to 40 mph when the car was on a light throttle and met a slight rise in the road.

The first time you experienced THE THUMP you'd think the gearbox had just fallen out on the road!

So far the 8 speed Aisin box in the Generation 2 Touaregs has not suffered the same issue but what you are describing sounds familiar albeit on a different gear change.
