When I put the treg into tiptronic (by moving the gearleaver across) I am unable to shift down using the paddles behind the stearing wheel. The up-shift on the baddles work and I can shift down by tapping the gear stick back just not the paddle.

Is something broken?

hmmm...dunno...i hardly use the tiptronic and have never used both together. I'll try and report back

Just a check. You are using the left hand paddle to down shift, and the right hand paddle to shift up?

No.
I am using the right hand paddle (the one with the + sign on) to shift up.
I am not shifting down as the left hand paddle does not work.
I am currently approaching warp speed...

Probably a bad contact in the microswitch in the specific paddle. I had a customer with this issue. I swapped him the paddles from my car and cleaned the microswitch contact in his paddle and then installed it in my car. Worked just fine after that. I don't recall exactly what I used to clean the microswitch but probably some type of contact cleaning solvent.
