Anybody have any advice on how to get out the lower control arm eccentric bolts on a 2013 Touareg TDI? I'm talking about the two bolts that attach to the chassis, not the one that attaches to the spindle. I've removed the nuts, but I'm having problems getting the bolts to budge. I'm thinking I may need a ball joint press, but I'm not sure.

They're probably seized in the bushing sleeves. Mine were. No amount of penentrating fluid and/or heat would break them loose. Eventually the sleeve tore from the rubber bushing and it just spun. I ended up cutting them out with a saws-all. Either that or an acetelyn torch. They're a b****!

Are you talking about this part of the lower control?

You do need a tool for that because to make life easier. Manual calls for T10444 (Original Snapon). I bought a set from Amazon (link). Pretty sure you can also go to an AutoZone or other stores for Loaner Tools.
