Hi,

i'm new here and actually joined to explore the Dubai market a little, especially in terms of guidance for a good workshop, where to get spareparts cheaper, tips for offroad (last weekend first time :) ) etc.

i went last week to the workshop since i knew i need to have a couple of things fixed and ended up with a quote of more than 13.000 Dhs...

Main cost exploding issues:

- brake pad
- headlamp control unit (2)
- headlamp bulb (2)
- lower arm bush
- interior cleaning and exterior polishing

the rest seems fine.

A friend of min (mini Cooper) recently ended up with a very high quote as well and actually ordered then spare parts through a webpage from germany, resulting in nearly 50% reduction of her total costs.

i didnt check that webpage yet, but was hopeing maybe one of you could already point me in the right direction in regards to good experience with a specific workshop for example.

Well, hope to hear from you soon and good night for today...

Cheers

Workshops for Toureg

I recently purchased a 2005 Treg for 45k dhm in Abu Dhabi. Its now due for service. I know VW dealers will rip me off, its just not worth spending so much money on 6 year old car. Does anyone know good VW workshops in Abu Dhabi/Dubai/Sharjah who sells good spare parts and can do service at a fraction of the cost???
