The question is whether one could go to Germany and personally import one. The essential question is whether it has been crash tested for DOT. Without that you can't import it...

And no, there's no way that headlight would fit a T1 or T2... *&^&T^^&*&**(

Wouldn't it be okay if the other touareg models have been crash tested? Seems like you could "fudge" a few numbers here and there and claim it's a regular north American touareg lol... Then again maybe not

 

Alas the VIN number etc. would come back and bite you. That's why MB et al allowed you to pick up a US spec car in Germany (at the time the dollar was worth something), buy it there, tour around Europe and ship it home; but that was not the same as the models sold there for the same series vehicle.

If anyone has any contacts in Deutschland you could ask ... but I doubt it
