Hello All,

As some of you may recall a couple months ago I put out a feeler for heated steering wheel kits. I now have them in my possession and am ready to ship them out. I currently have 3 kits available with a 4th one being available shortly (need to source one more part). All the kits come with the heated steering wheel (3D0 419 091 T 7B4), updated control module (7L6 953 549 G) and the updated slip ring (8E0 953 514 E). All three of the kits have been tested on my car and work as intended. Instructions will be provided on how to install this kit but please be aware that you will require a VAG-COM cable to perform the correct coding.

One thing to note is that the control modules came off of European spec Touaregs which had the lane departure option on them. This is a little button on the end of the turn signal stalk (visible in the images below). Since my Touareg is a 2006 I was not able to test this feature and for that matter I'm not sure if this feature was even available on North American spec cars. I was able to install these control modules into my car without any problems; the button was simply a dummy and didn't do anything when pressed. For those that are really anal it is possible to disassemble the control module and swap in your existing stalk if you are so inclined. I however have not attempted this.

Feel free to PM me with any questions you may have. Payment will be via PayPal and all contents will be very well packed for shipping.

I see (to further complicate matters) that there was a color choice. Just to let everyone know. It would be terrible to buy this and realize that it does not match.

I will keep following this thread. I have a Brown Interior :( so no joy for me currently. Price looks decent imo considering the OP has done all the hard work of importing and testing.

Instructions are provided so if you have the means to do it yourself you should be able to get it all done in about 3 hours. The part that takes the longest is the coding.

If you're going to take it to a dealer I can't see them taking more that 2 hours to complete the install.

Martin.....I have to replace my heated steering wheel on/off button. Which in reality means I have to replace the whole set of buttons on the right side of the steering wheel. Can you provide a write up as to how to dismantle the steering wheel to replace the right side button panel for a T2?...please
