Garden hose will work.

 

So i put the garden hose to it for 20-30 minutes and saw that there was water dripping into the footwells. Does this still indicate the sunroof or is there another issue?

 

Drains for sunroof are clogged, that is what it means.

 

I had them check it out once before and they said they were clean. It looked like it was coming out of the center console.

 

I just started another thread in Bugs and Problems. My sunroof started leaking yesterday after a heavy rain.

I removed all of the overhead console electronics and the plastic trim and doused the area with a garden hose. After about 5 minutes I was able to put my hand above the headlines and feel a significant amount of water.

This has to be an issue with insufficient sealing of the sunroof cartridge to the roof. There is no way the drains being clogged could cause this problem. I'm on the fence with VW fixing it but I'll probably let them have a crack at it.

I think it is clogged drains, they may look clear but can be blocked down low.
