Work at a very prominate dealership in Michigan so I have capabilities of obtaining advice from some of the best.
My 2004 Touareg's headlight lenses have the tiniest spider-cracking.
Cannot be sanded, buffed or polished.
They have a haze-look to em almost and in turn makes my headlights look dull.

In need of some links/stores that carry replacement lenses for my vehicle.
Pricing, ease of installation, that sort of thing.

You can only buy complete headlight units.

Are your halogen or xenon?

Either way, they're not cheap.

Try these guys, they carry many replacement parts for low cost including lights. I have used them many times and body shops are their primary customer.

Mike responded from volx tuning:

"I can try and produce glass lenses for the T1 but T2 and T3 will be more difficult to produce in Glass but probably they can be done. Plastic wont be an option as it will be very expensive due to the process and finish they require. If Glass can be an option for you guys I could possibly start something later this year. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Mike

P.S. By the way, a group buy will at least need to be around 50-75 People. So that is quite a lot. Making lenses for 10-20 People wont do it. Let me know."

So there it is.....50-75 people is a long shot I know =(

Hey Guys,

This is Mike....The Group Buy can be done, but unfortunately to make this work, there will need to be at least 75-100 people into the group buy. I know it sounds like a lot, but the process is very long and takes lots of money, that is why we need such an amount of people. We cant just make them for 10-20 people.

As far as price, if we can meet that amount of people, The price per PAIR can be as low as $80-90 Dollars + Shipping. That's only for the people who will participate on the group buy and keep in mind that this is for the PAIR, left and right lens.

To make the lenses, it will usually take between 2-3 Months and 1 month to produce. So we are talking 4 months or maybe even 5 months. There is a lot of things that need to be done in order to do this, and that is why it can take such time.

Lenses will be made of Glass, so people who like going to the mud pit or driving on the open country road, road debris might be an issue for you. We believe this is the only downside, but as far as a good thing, they will never fade nor haze and will not experience those spider webs plastic lenses produce. We also sell a Lamin X Protective film which helps protecting the lenses. Which is a very popular item for our Jetta Glass Lenses. Up to this point he have sold many Jetta lenses and have had literally no more than 4-5 customers needing a replacement due to a minor fender bender, or a big rock hitting the lens, and that is a very low number of people comparing to the sets we have sold.
