Problem is, as you insert a Sim card the phone gets disconnected from Bluetooth, there is an option to prevent this in the new touareg and similar MY Audi's...

 

Hi Singh i knew that was the issue but I don't use it all the time, what was the fix in the new touareg? I believe they tried to fix this problem with later software etc for the rns850 but to no avail.

You get a choice, to select what to use the Sim for, data, phone or both....thus allowing for Sim to be used for data and BT for phone calls

 

Is Google Earth not gone forever anyway? I can't get mine back on a 2011 RNS850.

 

Audi provided the firmware to provide the same but nothing from vw

 

Going back to my google earth working, I use my phone as an RSAP so get live updates and can still use my phone connected to the system.
