I'm considering buying VW's Cargo Partition which requires the addition of their Cargo Partition Space Divider in order to cart my daughter's two Huskies up to Colo for their winter holiday in the snow. Before I drop $800 does anyone have a photo of the full install (VW OEM)? How many holes do I have to drill in my pristine interior? Apologies for being so anal about my silver rocket!

Laurence, is this the divider you are talking about?

This is the one that I bought from a ClubTouareg member used and I LOVE IT. It keeps my two Huskies back where they belong. I don't have the separate interior divider as is shown in the lower picture, only the upper one.

Should only run you about $380 from vendors like ClubTouareg. You might even be able to beat that price at places like 1stVWParts.com.

I also have the upper barrier, and it's fantastic. It took me a few moments to get it attached (because it has hooks that slip over the rods that the seats lock to), but the end result is secure and stands up to my Husky throwing her weight against it.

The one that aircooled and I have requires no drilling. It's fairly difficult to maneuver though, so you wouldn't want to try to take it out frequently.

I don't have the middle divider, so I don't know what that requires. Do the two dogs need to be separated? They can't just hang out together?

I'll second aircooled on the upper divider. I would have an Ausi shepherd for a copilot if not for the sturdy steel mesh (which would not be that bad but he occasionally likes to take the controls;)). Plus, the divider is industrial strength, like the Touareg, and would act as a restraint in case of a crash and keep the pooch in the back. Best of all, no holes to drill, and can be installed and removed in two minutes. Highly recommended!!

Alright! you guys are fantastic. Our lead dog drools all down the console of my daughter's '02 Eurovan as he scopes out the road ahead. What aircooled attached looks like VW Cargo Partition 7LO 017 221 @ $391. I have a 10% off coupon for accessories from the local dealer here. I definitely don't need the Cargo Divider although that wasn't clear from the DriverGear book. Our Husky's love each other unless there's food around. TregCentral is now in my "Favorites."

anyone know if the cayenne roll up partition will work? if so where to get it?

Cargo net divider

hooks into the black slots and above there are 2 hooks.

I purchased the cayenne net divider on ebay for $50. The net divider is an option for tregs overseas. I went to VW dealership and tried to order but no luck. Might have a better chance at the porsche dealer or ebay.

It works great, easy install and can be hidden when not used.

Good luck hope this helps!

Roll-up divider is standard on all Touaregs in Australia, slots into sockets pre-moulded with attachments at both ends, and hooks into roof sockets above. When retracted it sits under the forward flap of the cargo-blind. The roll-up section is extra length so it can be moved forward to a position attached to the seat-bottoms when the back seats are folded forward (for partition from full-length cargo area)and still rolls up to the roof. Again locks into sockets pre-positioned there. Don't know how much of the pre-installed mountings is fitted to US tregs that don't come with the divider, but I will post some photos this weekend so you can see for yourself. Should be able to find a part number from a dealer...

Just got my metal partition today and I'm extremely happy with it! It's VERY sturdy and looks really great. Plus, I got it for $80.00 on craigs list, which I thought was a good price. I would definetly recommend this over the net divider.

Callihan, that's exactly what I'm looking for...is there a part number on that anywhere?

Callihan, where did you get yours? I've been looking for that exact part for about 2 years.

That said, is there anybody willing to do a group buy if we could get somebody overseas to do a bulk order?

There is a net partition on craigs list. It's for sale with a cargo cover but he will sell seperately. I'm pretty sure he'll let it go for $55. or $60.

Just an update, I did some calling around. The part is available for around 250 from Porsche Canada. I'll have a part number for you tomorrow (so long as my parts guy has the right part for me).
