This month's Automobile mag. has a review on the new BMW. It sounds like a repeat of our 2004 issues. At least they have nice waiting rooms.

Any link to the story?

I believe it was an update on their long term-X5... and they had a bunch of front end problems and other assorted goodies that wasn't very flattering to the current version of the X5.

A buddy of mine back in Ohio has two BMW 3-series cars, an '02 325i sedan and an '05 330ci Convertible. The '02 has been kind of a basket case, with a lot of "common" problems (like coolant expansion tanks splitting, coil springs rusting out and snapping, sunroof visor clips breaking, etc etc) needing repair/replacement in the last year, at 80k miles. The '05 seems to be pretty bulletproof so far, but only time will tell if things continue that way for it.

Never been a big fan of BMW at all. The X6 is the most ridiculos looking vehicle on the road IMO. 2 things I do think is important though is their 0$ maintenance for first 4 years or 50K mi. That includes wear and tear parts also. The other thing is that they have 16 vehicles that offer 25+ MPG!!! My brother in law has a 330i. Nice handling and all, but the interior makes me drowsy!
