The most popular option is I can send you an exchange unit already programmed.

You keep an install this unit, and then send me your old one back to be programmed for the next person.

OK OK OK. OMG!!! I cannot believe the difference. It feels like a just bought a whole new car ! I must say, if I had owned my Treg PRE-Fix, and they broke it so badly when they "fixed" it, I would have forced VW to do a buy-back. The difference in 'no lag' from a stop... or accel out of a turn....it makes me feel like I've been driving a broken car and I just had it fixed!!

(I did have to unbolt the seat, though.. I have had shoulder issues for the past year and didn't have the had strength to pull back the tabs in such an awkward position. Even with that it was a 15 min install. My biggest worry was that when I had the old out, and compared them (part number etc..) that I might have gotten it mixed up with the new...

Just finished the process of mailing/ swapping TCM with ykyreg- all I can say is DO IT you won’t be disappointed

 

Another happy customer here. Just did the exchange last week. What a difference👌. And yes: It can be done without removing the passenger seat or cutting the carpet.

 

Because this community had supported me through so much, the $215 price is now the normal price for everyone.

I had my TCU tuned back in December of 2020 and have been VERY happy ever since. With all the hills and mountains around here it is nice to have the engine braking (especially when towing). And the lag/hesitation from a stop was gone. I also like it doesn't do its strange shifting when trying to warm up on cold mornings. Thank you yrktreg!

 

Good day, interested in sending out TCU for my 2012 TDI. I absolutely HATE the gear holding during warm up, not to mention the other quirks. Drives me crazy!

 

Is this not available for the 2011 vehicles?
