Just bought 04 V6 with the standard CD/Radio. The radio, cd and functions all appear to be work but the display isn't? Looked in the manual to see if it had been turned off but can't see a function to do that. The station/track # etc does appear on the MFI, but not on the unit itself, the screen is completely blank but the blue backlight does appear to be on.

Has anyone got a fix for this one?

Unfortunately, I know of no way to just turn off the display. It sounds like you may have a bad stereo. If it's under warranty, I'd take it in for replacement. If not, I'd look on ebay for another radio, or on here, as many people have upgraded their stock stereos with Nav units.
