had the treg for two years,no probs
untill the air suspension starts playing up.my local vw garage seem very vague about the problem also.
the problem is with the hind quarters,it raised its self to the maximum height and sets itself there.the front acts as normal.
The air is not pressurised at this point either just the dampers..

Anybody any ideas

Fault codes?

You need the diagnostic codes to even guess at what the issue is. Without this there is no way to tell what's wrong.

ok..they tell me not good news.
fault codes are..intervention load fault 00907,level centre system 01400. 02250. 01958.
they are saying that they need it in for a hours diagnostic to confirm.they seem to think sensor down in air spring, can't buy sensor separate (or so they say) so a grand total of ÂŁ3000.

any ideas?

Here are what 01400 code means (ignore intervention load fault, its just your vehicle cutting your battery out to prevent it from getting below a certain value)

If your battery dies your air suspension goes to the highest setting until you drive it a bit, then things return to normal.

This aside scan it and post the codes to further diagnose.

I wish that I could tell you what the problem is, but I can't. This go round was caused when I had a new set of tires (Bridgestone H/L's 255/55/18, which work great in the snow) put on at a tire store. I live on Lake Erie west of Buffalo. Anyway they lift the vehicle before opening the hood or something to let the vehicle know it was in for service and reset the sensors to think riding so high was normal. I found a great mechanic who upgraded his diagnostic software on Monday, but still couldn't get the right codes (after talking to VW techs). Took it to the dealer, which really irritated me, but they fixed it for $143.00. I am now sitting in a coffee shop getting my brakes done at the other guys shop. My head shook so hard driving short distances that I got a headache. It's nice to have my baby back. I'm not ready to spill my guts about why I hate the dealer just yet. Although, they did get it right this time.
