Looks sharp! Price? Mileage? I'd recommend posting a lot of high-resolution photos to your post, along with the Car-Fax. Make it easy on potential buyers to see what you're selling.

Thanks for the comment. Wasn't quite sure what would be a fair price to ask. My vehicle is in show room condition and when I looked at other Touaregs and what they were asking I thought 20K would be a good starting point. I open to offers if you know of anyone who might be interested and might help with shipping costs as well. Anyways, thanks for the comment. Take care.

Hey Simiannye,

I would recommend contacting Doug Demuro's Cars&Bids company. From what Ive heard these SUV's have been going for a ton of money over reserve price for their auctions. Especially one like yours which is in such mint condition.

Might be a really good option for you.

Cheers,
James

Yea I would totally explore putting it on "Bring a Trailer" and seeing what you can get over there. Plus don't forget to advertise it in the Facebook groups "Touareg Owners" and I believe there is one more huge group on Facebook. Both get tons of daily engagement. The forums are awesome but not as highly engaged as Facebook groups.

Yea of course! Check out what this rare blue 2010 TDi fetched that had no air suspension but super low miles. Sold on June 30th, 2020.

Thanks for the reply, simiannye. I'm also curious about maintenance/repair work has been done? (prop shaft, turbos, exh. manifolds, fuel pump, etc.) Thanks!

Hey, Thanks for the questions and interest. Any repair work or maintenance that was done was either preventative or something was showing signs of weakness or done as it raised its ugly head. As such the following has been done; Upper & lower control arms replaced , Prop Shaft replaced , Manifolds replaced, Starter rebuilt and belt replaced, Alternator rebuilt, All of the injectors were replace at my request not that they needed to be replaced also the glow plug wiring harness was replaced, Calipers were powder coated, Touareg decal painted on calipers, new rotors and pads, bluetooth mod installed, both batteries were replaced, Replaced right side High Pressure fuel pump, carbon cleaned from intakes and throttles, SunRoof glass was replaced by VW as it was damaged by a falling object off a bridge being repaired (Insurance Claim), Headlight switch replaced, Rubber hood seal replaced and recent transmission service was completed. There have been no major issues with my vehicle other than trying to keep it maintained and repaired as necessary.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again!

The V10 has a thick internally ribbed rubber drive coupling for the drive to the alternator up in the 'V' as well as another ribbed rubber coupling for the drive to the AC compressor which sits in front of and on the same axis centre line as the power steering pump down low on left side. These ribbed couplings are a safety fail device to protect in case either of those ancillaries fails and locks up, the coupling will fail to prevent mechanical damage to the geared mechanical drives.

It is always good practice to replace these couplings if they're old or look suspect at all when you have these things apart.

Sorry I don't have part numbers to hand.

Pete.

Pete is correct on all points.

No. I had lots of interest and a couple of offers, (no deposits even when I ask for one) I went through the process with two people getting quotes regarding transporting, recall and compliance letters and then silence. I even had a guy come down twice locally and all I continued to get from him was I have to sell my vehicle first. My Treg is a really great reliable vehicle and I was only selling it because I wanted and needed a new truck but with the chip shortage and all the vehicles sitting in fields I'm going to hold off. I'll try selling it maybe next year? In the mean time I'm going to enjoy my Treg on a couple of trips! Thanks for the comment
