So, I went to the VW dealer today looking for a 2008 Touareg (New) and I need all your opinions. Here are the specs:

- 2008 Touareg (New 100 miles)
- Fully Loaded
- V8 Engine
- Full Leather
- DVD Navigation
- Moonroof
- Luxury Package (Prem Sound, IPod, Wood Grain, etc)
- Dual climate controls
- 19" Wheels

Got em down to $39,000 with straight purchase, no trade in. Just one question for everyone: Can I get a better deal?

Yes, the sticker is a little over $55,000 on this vehicle, however, in this economy car prices are falling like a rock.

Does everyone else agree with FlynscotRSA?

Sounds like a great deal but how dependant are you on low gas prices, how long do you plan to keep it. If you keep it for four years you will loose ~$5K a year in value on average. How much will it be in January when they can't move the early '09s? Can you wait a little. I think I'd wait till after elections.

Good luck, I'm sure you will get lots of enjoyment out of it if you buy it even if it does cost alot to own one.

$39 is a great price if its the vehicle you want and the dealer seems to be a good place to service it. There's always a better deal out there, but IMO this is a fine deal...the clincher for me would be dealer relationship.
