uhhh...just so you guys know the Cayenne Diesel is now on the Porsche USA website.

Cayenne Diesel - All Cayenne Models - All Porsche Vehicles - Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG

Base is $55K
Air suspension is a $4K option
You can get some exotic options such as:
Ceramic composite brakes $8K
18 way adaptive power sport seats 6K
alcantera headliner $2k
illuminated carbon fibre door sills $3K

base is $55K, loaded up is 100K

FYI a loaded cayenne turbo is the same price as a loaded 911 Turbo S...so not sure what you mean by base model Siberian?
This makes me very happy. Cayenne Diesel with A/S and a tune from MTM in Montreal and I'll have a very nice daily driver. The new interior is awesome.

I'll head to Mark Motors this saturday and see what they say...if they come in around 65 for decent level of trim and a/s then I'll buy it.

now that I know that I'll be heading to the Porsche dealer this weekend...we'll see what price and availability looks like.
Just make sure you buy the RIGHT colour this time, since I'll be buying yours in say....3 years??

I'd like my Pepper in black exterior please.

Last time I checked my P by the time I got the 911 to where I wanted it was 120k.

Good luck, we'll have to look for another Moderator then right? I mean we couldn't have someone just making us look bad knowing he drives a P... could we? :)

Drive the 2012 Porsche 911 Turbo S and then drive the 2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo - back to back.

I drove both Wednesday of last week.

The 911 Turbo S will give you a woody and the Cayenne Turbo will give you a headache.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S is the pinnacle of 'affordable' European sports cars - the Porsche Cayenne Turbo is the pinnacle of grocery-getters.

Oranges-to-oranges, I know where I will spend my money... ;)

I'll do the same test drive with my 2 kids and my bernese mountain dog, the boat in tow and a load of stuff for a weekend at the cottage.

I'm guessing the Cayenne Turbo will make me significantly happier :)

If Mitt Romney can put the dog on the roof, so can you ;) (...NOT!)

But it's a 'PORSCH'!!

Ain't that pretty cloisonne Porsche hood badge worth the extra $$$ - even without the DSG? [wink]
I already have a Porsche. It is a dedicated track car. I don't need this to get the Porsche badge. I need it to escape the horror and calamity that is the local VW dealership service department. I love my Touareg and thankfully it has been very reliable. And functions beautifully as a DD/tow vehicle. The few times I have taken it to the service department it has been like dealing with people that are either incompetent or don't care. I have owned 4 VW dd's in the past 4 years and the only consistent aspects of that experience is the quality of the vehicles and superb driving enjoyment combined with the predictable stress and annoyance of the dealership experience. The availability of the Cayenne TDI could be the answer to lengthening my life from stress reduction. :))

On a side note, I wonder how Porsche will deal with any possible future adblue issues.
Easy. Porsche doesn't need to do a thing. T3 TDI owners were the test mules. AdBlue is now fine.

How many Germans does it take to change a light bulb? None, if the bulb is manufactured correctly!

And if it isn't it needed to be replaced anyway...

And at the first CEL or other issue, your car will be in the shop for 2 months because they neither have the parts nor know what is going on.
