What reply about MPGs are you talking about? What needs clarified? The guy that is actually doing the work here and making the programs seemed to have no issue responding to me like a normal human being and doesn’t seem confused at all.

It's funny when people that don't know who they are talking to come in swinging their dick touting The fact that they own a dura crap as some sort of milestone to justify asking dumb ****ing questions.

It's funny because the guy that replied to you, whose name is Joe by the way, reply to one small specific portion of your entire post which was indeed obviously about the transmission tuning.

As far as budding into a conversation, I think my couple hundred posts and hundreds of personal conversations I've had with Joe Trump's your first post asking something dumb

If your legacy is that you’re a big deal on a Volkswagen forum you might want to aim higher in life.

As far as him answering my question, yes he did. I asked one single question and he answered it like a polite normal person. Is that the dumb question you’re referring to? Cause it’s the only one I asked.

As to your last paragraph, I sincerely apologize if you’re offended that I’m not impressed by your post count. That seems like the silliest thing on the face of the earth to brag about, but I guess if that’s the peak of your life you gotta be proud of yourself about something.

I'm not offended whatsoever and I don't recall mentioning post count 🤔 I was referring to you coming in guns blazing and not even knowing you are talking to.

Now this is funny.

I can’t pick up the one I’m getting till next week because of the holiday.
I had no idea I’d cause so much of a stir by just asking a single question to a guy that seemingly knows more about these transmissions than anyone. That guy (Joe, I guess?) seems like a totally cool dude that had a simple answer to my question. But he apparently has some kind of simp superfan that follows him around thinking he needs to speak for him.

In any event, I believe I'm gonna be picking up this Touareg next week sometime. Do you have a timetable for your this TCU tune? The guy said I could put the Oakes TCU tune back on it if I want. He said he didn't like it because it shifted too hard, but I wasn't able to test drive it with that tune on it.

I honestly don't know, it's on of those I have to dig into the code and see what I can figure out while towing something and see how it reacts.

Last he and I chatted (late-December) it was still in beta testing.

As a tradesman, I live by the mantra there are no shortcuts to quality. If you had time to do it twice, you had time to do it right the first time.

I've always be taught by my dad the same thing, do it right the first time, and don't have to worry about it in the future.
And don't cut corners.

Beta testing is just about finished, but I want to run a thorough test on my own vehicle to test (aka abuse :p) a few more things I have in the works such as user selectable modes for more sportiness, towing tune, economy, etc
So basically YOU will be able to switch between modes. Like ok I do a lot of highway driving during the week so I want Eco mode. And the weekends I tow my race car to the track, let me switch to towing mode which has more engine braking and optimized shift points.
