Nice find!
I agree although it's stated that it only really helps up to 1650 RPM, so wile it probably provides a kick in the pants, in reality go nail your Toaureg from a stop and tell me how much time it spends from idle to 1650 RPM? Like milliseconds since this is where the stall speed and more specifically the torque converters flash RPM come into play. Maybe for passing as such but i'm still thinking that once your drop gears you will still be moving...

Literally zero time. When i launch im at at least 2k lol. I need to find my slip from the track last year and go this year and compare. My 60 ft is well under 2 seconds.

When I’m at a traffic light there’s an eternity of delay waiting for torque to arrive from idle. Too bad VW doesn’t read traffic lights and prestage the revs everytime. Then I wouldn’t need a turbo upgrade.

If you had the VW Fix done then as stated before, you need Yrkyregs transmission module reflash. That cures the hesitation.

TCM tune...

I have a feeling they are using the EPC to help with spool to reduce emissions.

Normally to help with spool you add much more fuel to get the turbo moving, which of course increases emissions...

Nice, it that brake boosting or stomp and go?

Very respectable for a diesel suv of it's weight

Brake boosting in manual mode or standard mode is a bit quicker but stomp and go from sport mode is respectable as well. Ive taken several mates for a ride and brake boosting always garners the same reaction. Head hits the headrest, pupils dilate and hands clench the closest thing they can grab ahold of. Its so funny.

Brake boosting??

Standing on the brake pedal while smashing the accelerator to build boost for a launch

Not to be confused with a rolling brake boost where your roll racing someone from say 40mph and are maintaining speed while pressing both pedals and building boost.
Ahem... two words joe, launch control. ;-)

Sounds like I need an electric turbo and twin mini turbos with a fuel injector for prespool.... or maybe I just need a better tune.
Have you been trolling this whole time?

Why not a little shot of nitrous?

Or a TCM tune would help you immensely, but what do I know :grin2::laugh::wink2:

I don't like nitrous it seems to run out and then things aren't fun anymore.

Maybe I need a TCM tune but I haven't heard the differences between the post fix tune I have and the fixed tune. Nor do is it clear to me why the trans tune effects the off the line torque of the engine. Sure I guess it can have an impact depending on how it picks the gear and the torque converter engagement etc...

But isn't the engine tune really more responsible for how quick boost is built and whether the turbo is pre-spooled?

As far as I can tell I don't have a major issue with the trans tune. I presume it can be tweaked by someone with the right software and that knows what they are doing... but why bother with that now when it would be part of any future upgrade.

Sport mode seems ok... though I'd like to really disable kickdown mode and make it normal behavior... the problem is probably more that I need turbo flow at higher RPM as kickdown mode seems to wind out there gears.

So am I understanding that pre fix there was a diesel trans tune that behaved differently than the gas trans tune?

I guess since I've only owned the vehicle post fix I have no idea what I'm missing.....

As to twin turbos... why not?

No wheres that sticker at again?

You clearly need another coupon.

Good thing that there isn't like an 81 page thread on the tcm tune or anything.

It basically fixes your lag an everything else your talking about except for more torque.

It also as mentioned before makes it shift like a diesel vehicle like intended.

I'm starting to agree with other people on you being a troll...:surprise:
